Terms of service

Last updated 5 August 2026

MealPigeon is a group food-ordering service operated by Yongle Corp. These terms cover your use of the website and the orders you place through it.

What the service does

MealPigeon collects orders from several restaurants into a single delivery to a shared pickup location. You order individually; your meal is prepared by the restaurant you ordered from, delivered together with other orders for the same service, and collected by you in person.

We are not the restaurant. Each dish is prepared by the restaurant listed against it, which is responsible for the food itself, including its ingredients, preparation and allergen information.

Ordering windows and cutoffs

Each pickup location runs its own set of services — commonly a lunch and a dinner, but that is set per location and may differ between them. Every service has a cutoff time, shown as a countdown on the menu. Orders must be placed and paid for before the cutoff — after it passes, the order is sent to the restaurants and cannot be changed.

The cutoff is enforced by our servers at the moment payment completes, in the pickup location's own timezone. The countdown on your screen is a guide only.

Prices and payment

Prices shown include our service margin and are what you pay. You can pay by card. Depending on how the platform is configured, your card is either charged when you place the order, or saved and charged when ordering closes for that service — the checkout and your order screen both say which applies. Where payment is taken at the cutoff you may change your order until then, and nothing is charged before it.

Collecting your order

Orders are collected in person at the pickup location you chose when registering. To release your order, our driver asks for the last four digits of the phone number on your account. Keep that number current — we cannot hand over an order we cannot verify.

Be on time. Our driver waits at least 15 minutes from the time we tell you your food has arrived. After that the driver decides what happens to any order still uncollected — they may wait longer, or they may not. Food left behind is disposed of for food-safety reasons. We cannot hold a meal aside, bring it later, or store it: there is no refrigeration at a pickup point and the driver has other stops.

Orders not collected are not refunded, because the restaurant has already prepared and been paid for the food. See refunds and cancellations.

Your account

You need an account with a valid mobile number and a chosen pickup location to order. Keep your sign-in secure; orders placed from your account are treated as yours. We may suspend accounts used to abuse the service, including repeated non-collection.

Allergies and dietary requirements

Menu descriptions come from the restaurants. If you have an allergy or dietary requirement, contact us at support@mealpigeon.com before ordering — we cannot guarantee the absence of any allergen in a shared kitchen.

Changes

We may update these terms; the revision date above changes when we do. Continuing to use MealPigeon after a change means you accept the updated terms.
